Our Church House, Lela. The simple frame is more efficient than the typical church houses the mission first started with. We enjoy it here. Breezes blow through, cattle walk by on the road and this morning we had a chicken there before the service started.

Josephine, the daughter of Lina. She is enjoying a 500 ml bottle of Coke with a Mendazie. The church people loved the soda!! Lina is a widow with several children and we are planning for her to be baptized on 8-14. 

I enjoy seeing the different things on the vehicles.....

We went away for supper on Friday night and when we came home someone had been at our place. I have a good idea the suspect is the lead bishop for the Kisumu area, Wayne Yoder. We need to have a good time here to!!

A clunker I saw this morning. After church the back wheel was off.

After our service today I went to a church in Kisumu to deliver Bibles they had purchased from Mount Zion Litature. This was their stage. They said they have from 1200-1500 people come to church. They have 2 services.

More people wanted Bibles then they had paid for... maybe another day. Think of it, these people are wanting the Word of God!

People holding the Bibles they received. The Bibles cost $3 each. The policy is that only 1 book per person is allowed because there is the possibility of people wanting to make a business of selling these Bibles because MZL sells them at the cost of printing the Bible.

Kenyan Wedding!

  Hello,   Welcome to a Kenyan wedding!   We had the opportunity to take that long drive to the Oroba church. It had rained a tremendous amount before the morning of the joyous occasion which made for extremely muddy conditions!! The wedding was more low key than some weddings. Daisy is not a member of the Oroba church, but they wanted to give the couple a memorable day. Little Helpers, Zilpa

  Greetings from Kenya!   We welcome you to join us on a photo journey of our lives.   Tiffany's monkey bite is healing nicely, with the exception of a few scars that may disappear with time. She needs only two more rabies shots before completing the course!  Zilpa invited her pastor and bishop to join her in a celebration of her life. She has set aside a certain day in September to celebrate her "birthday", not her birth as a baby, but the second chance and extended life God has given her. She has been a blessing at our church. She requested prayer about a debt she had accumulated. We welcome you to pray that God would provide for her. In a latter meeting, she was encouraged to pay as she can, communicate with her debtors, and trust God. Zilpa's cattle corral (above). Sunset at Kiboko Bay.

  Friends,   We hope each of you have been doing well and wish God's blessings on each of your lives as you serve the King!   Recently, we were blessed with one of the most beautiful sunsets we ever saw at Kiboko Bay. It is along Lake Victoria. We find it a blessing to get away from the dirt of town and see the beauty that the lake has to offer. Thank-you for the interest you have taken in our lives and the work of the King! Josephine & Tiffany one Sunday morning. Bible Study Korowe Primary School. We did a book distribution here with the youth one Saturday afternoon. After the distribution, we went to Kiboko Bay and invited missionary families to join us. This school is not far from our church. We were warmly welcomed. They sang a few songs for us, and we sang for them.
